PUT-IN-BAY, Ohio — Bash on the Bay, a country music festival held each year in Put-In-Bay, has been canceled due to coronavirus concerns.

The owner and promoter of the event canceled the August concert after consulting with the headlining acts slated to perform, deciding it was in the best interest of the concert-goers and their safety out-weighed holding the event.

In March, Bash on the Bay postponed the announcement of the concert lineup and hoped the event would still be able to go on.

The 2020 lineup was not able to be announced before the concert was canceled. Notable artists that have performed in previous years include Kid Rock, Rascal Flatts, and Toby Keith.

This year’s concert was scheduled for August 26 and August 27.

Bash on the Bay said it is currently working to secure acts for the 2021 concert, which will also be a two-day event next August.
