Please be careful if you're heading to the beach for a swim as News 5 Meteorologist Phil Sakal says rip currents in Lake Erie are likely to continue over the next several months.

If you were planning to head to the beach on Friday, make sure you check the water quality.

According to the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, Edgewater and Villa Angela Beach currently have poor water quality.

Water quality predictions are based on results from an EPA model.

Weather conditions can change throughout the day.
