AKRON, Ohio — Authorities in Summit County are investigating the shooting death of a 26-year-old man in Akron early Thursday morning, according to a release from the medical examiner's office.
At around 12:30 a.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Dunbar Avenue in Akron, where they found the 26-year-old man sitting in the driver's seat of a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene at around 1:07 a.m.
The medical examiner will give an update once positive identification is made.
Officers also discovered a 31-year-old man on the scene who had suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital, according to police.
