AKRON, Ohio — Three people were injured on July 4th in a shooting that happened at an Akron party hall just before midnight.
At around 11:30 p.m., Akron police officers responded to the 2100 block of Romig Road for shots fired.
When officers arrived, they found a 21-year-old woman inside the hall with a gunshot wound to the chest. She was transported to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital and was last known to be listed in serious condition.
Two men were also shot. Police said a 20-year-old and an 18-year-old showed up later at the hospital after driving themselves there. Their conditions are unknown, but police said they are expected to recover.
At the scene, police found multiple cars as well as nearby businesses riddled with bullet holes.
No suspect information was provided.
