AKRON, Ohio — A 45-year-old man was found dead in a parking lot in Akron Friday night from an apparent gunshot wound, according to Akron police detectives.
Authorities have not released the man's name.
The shooting occurred around 9 p.m. in the 800 block of Brown Street, authorities said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. The victim's car was taken after the shooting, but it was recovered a short time later when officers found it abandoned at the intersection of Beaver and Gage streets.
