CANTON, Ohio — Five Canton men have been brought up on federal charges for allegedly breaking into a gun store and stealing nearly two dozen guns in February.
Robert Clark Jr., 18; Marquelis Thomas, 21; Shymeik Barkley, 18; God Gibson, 18 and Jamaryon Frazier, 18, have been charged with one count of theft of firearms from a licensed firearms dealer, according to the U.S. District Attorney’s Office.
Authorities said the men allegedly broke into Elite Security Consultants LLC in February and stole 22 guns.
Four of the individuals have also been indicted on a charge of conspiring to steal firearms from another Canton store.
According to the attorney’s office, Clark, Thomas, Gibson and Frazier are also accused of conspiring to steal firearms from a store on Cleveland Avenue S.W. Authorities said, in that instance, the four men donned gloves and covered their faces and then tried to break into the store by throwing a heavy object through a window.
