AKRON, Ohio — A little more than two years ago, Kenny Lambert was a homeless single dad struggling with addiction. After finding sobriety, Lambert founded an organization called “Just A Dad From Akron,” and is giving back to the community this holiday season.
Just A Dad From Akron held a Christmas present giveaway for families in need.
Through donations and generosity from community leaders and local businesses, Lambert was able to raise funds to purchase a large number of gifts to give away Sunday afternoon.
Lambert and his organization distributed all of the gifts in Akron’s Kenmore neighborhood on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
More than 1,000 presents were given away and gifts were still being donated as they giveaway was taking place.
