AKRON, Ohio — An Akron mother is facing charges after she allegedly tried to shoot her 15-year-old son at a home Monday night, according to a release.
Alma R. Gray, 44, of Ganyard Road in Akron, is charged with domestic violence, aggravated assault and improperly discharging firearms into habitation, according to police.
Officers responded Monday at about 7:30 pm. to a home in the 1900 block of Ganyard Road and found a 15-year-old who said he got into an argument with his mother.
The boy said his mother threatened to shoot him. He went into his bedroom and locked the door, police said.
Gray allegedly fired several shots through the door and left the home before officers arrived.
Police said no injuries were reported. Gray eventually returned home while officers were at the home and was arrested.
The 15-year-old was placed into custody of the Summit County Children’s Services. Gray was booked into the Summit County Jail.
