AKRON, Ohio — Akron police are investigating a homicide after a man was shot and killed Saturday morning.
Just before 8 a.m., a bystander located 43-year-old Brian Powers in a grassy area near East Buchtel Avenue and Chapel Drive, police said.
Police and EMS responded to the area and found Powers unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The shooting remains under investigation.
