AKRON — An Akron man is lucky to be alive following a shooting in Akron that left his car riddled with bullets.
The shooting happened around 11 p.m. Tuesday night near Frederick Boulevard and Bellevue Avenue, according to Akron police.
The man had just dropped off his girlfriend on Bellevue Avenue when another man opened fire on his vehicle. The car was hit five times — one shot hit the windshield, three hit the front bumper and another struck a tire.
The man wasn’t injured in the shooting. After his vehicle was hit, the man drove back to his house and called police.
No additional information was released.
