AKRON, Ohio — A 20-year-old Akron student with special needs was left on a van for three hours.
Akron Public Schools said the student remained in the vehicle when the driver went home Wednesday morning.
"Some of our students are transported daily by certified, insured, background-checked private drivers using their own vehicles. This gentleman has been with the district for 13 years," marketing director Mark Williamson said.
The North High student is OK and the incident is under investigation, according to the district.
