A body with no vitals was recovered from Summit Lake on Monday, the Akron Fire Department reported.
Akron Fire said a caller stated a body was seen floating in Summit Lake 10 to 15 feet off shore. The body was found at 380 W. Crosier St. around 2:53 p.m.
Akron Fire, Dive Team, and paramedics were at the scene recovering the body just before 4 p.m.
The Summit County Medical Examiner was called to the scene. Gender and other details related to the body were not available Monday afternoon.
Akron Fire crews left the scene before 4:15 p.m. The medical examiner stayed. Akron Fire said crews are questioning the witness who spotted the body in the lake.
