AKRON, Ohio — Police are investigating a double shooting that left one person dead and another injured Tuesday in Akron.
According to the Akron Police Department, officers responded to the 1300 block of Brownstone Street around noon and found two men with gunshot wounds.
A 27-year-old man, identified Wednesday as 27-year-old David Johnson, was transported to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead. The other victim, a 32-year-old man, was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
No suspects have been identified. Police said a black Jeep Cherokee was spotted fleeing the crime scene.
