A 42-year-old man is dead after his truck hit a retaining wall in Akron Wednesday night.
According to police, the man was driving a 1987 Dodge Ram pickup truck eastbound on Florida Avenue when he lost control, jumped a curb and hit a retaining wall. The truck was wedged between the wall and a tree after the crash.
By the time emergency crews arrived, the driver and his friends had moved the truck from where it was wedged.
Paramedics transported the driver to Akron General Medical Center where he later died.
