AKRON, Ohio — The Akron Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a man who robbed a bank late Monday morning.
The robbery happened around 11 a.m. at Chase Bank on Brittain Road, according to police.
The robber walked up to a teller and handed over a note demanding money. The man didn’t brandish a weapon but acted like he had a gun, police said.
The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money and the robber then drove off in a 2011 silver Chevrolet Cruze, according to police.
The man appears to be in his 20s. He stands around 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds. He was wearing a black Nike Ohio State sweatshirt, black hat and gray sweatpants, police said.
