CANTON, Ohio — Canton police are investigating a fatal shooting at a bar.
Police said they received a call around 12:40 a.m. about a shooting at R Bar in the 100 block of Wertz Avenue NW.
When officers arrived, they found Nigel Jackson, 22, laying in the front parking lot near the door, according to police.
Jackson suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to Aultman Hospital, where he has pronounced dead.
Police arrested Tavist Devawn Chester, 24. He has been charged with murder.
