The man who was fatally shot on Copley Road on Tuesday has been identified as 24-year-old Damon Harris, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner .
Harris, of Akron, was shot in the 800 block of Copley Road around 2 p.m. on Tuesday. He died in the emergency department at Akron General Medical Center, the Medical Examiner said.
The Medical Examiner confirmed Harris' cause of death was a gunshot wound to the back. His death was classified as a homicide.
