A man was shot and killed inside the Hi-De-Ho Lounge on Vernon Odom Boulevard in Akron late Thursday.
Akron police say the 39-year-old victim, identified as Lentheric Caldwell, of Akron, was inside the bar when a man came inside, shot the man in the chest and ran.
Caldwell was transported to Akron General Medical Center where he later died.
Detectives were able to identify the suspect—44-year-old Willie Steve Hicks III of Eva Avenue in Akron—with help from witnesses in the bar.
A warrant is out for Hicks' arrest. He is described as a 6-foot 1-inch tall black man. He weighs about 180 pounds.
Officials say he is considered armed and dangerous.

Another homicide was reported at the Zodiac Bar in Akron overnight.
