The parents of a 2-year-old girl who was found frozen to death on a front porch in Akron in February have been charged with felony child endangering.
On Feb. 2, officers responded to the 1300 block of Doty Drive for reports of an unresponsive toddler. The girl was found outside in the cold on the front porch by her mother, Tierra Williams, 22. The girl was taken to Akron Children's Hospital where she later died.
According to previous reports, the mother left the house for about two hours and left the girl's father, Dariaun Parker, 24, to watch the child. Parker, who works a night shift job, fell asleep. While he was asleep, the girl wandered outside.
