AKRON, Ohio — A 19-year-old pizza delivery driver was robbed of his pizzas while working in East Akron Friday, according to the Akron Police Department.

Around 10:20 p.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of 5th Avenue for a report of a robbery.

When they arrived at the scene, the pizza delivery driver told officers he had been robbed at gunpoint, police said.

The teen told police he had gotten out of his car to make his scheduled delivery when he was approached by a man who took his delivery bag and dropped it, according to police.

When the teen leaned over to get the bag a second man wearing a mask and armed with a gun demanded he hand over the pizza bag, police said.

The two men then fled on foot with the pizza bag, according to police.

The teen was not injured in the robbery and no money was taken, police said.

Police were not able to provide a detailed description of the two men.
