AKRON, Ohio — Akron police are investigating a fatal shooting that killed a 51-year-old man at a home Sunday afternoon.
Police responded at around 12:40 p.m. to the 2600 block of Nesmith Lake Boulevard for reports of a shooting.
Officers located the 51-year-old victim, identified as Duane May, of Akron, with a gunshot wound to the torso.
He was transported to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center where he later died.
The shooting remains under investigation.
