AKRON, Ohio — Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in West Akron early Saturday morning.
Around 6:14 a.m., officers were called to the 800 block of Cordova Avenue where they found a 64-year-old man who had been shot.
The man suffered a gunshot wound to the back, police said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s information is being withheld pending positive identification and family notification.
Police do not have any suspect information at this time.
The incident remains under investigation.
