AKRON, Ohio — Police are investigating a fatal shooting, according to the Akron Police Department.
Officers responded to a shooting in the 400 block of Mary Peavy Eagle Court around 10 p.m.
Once on the scene, officers found a 37-year-old man inside an apartment with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. The man was pronounced dead on scene, according to police
A 27-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. He was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General where he was treated and released, police said.
It appears that the shooter, or shooters, were outside of the apartment and fired multiple rounds inside, according to detectives.
The victim's identity has not been released. No suspects have been identified at this time.
