Kenmore Construction, G. Stephens, and the City of Akron are planning to close streets in Akron beginning August 1st and lasting approximately two months.
The closures are in preparation for the removal of State Route 59 between W. Exchange Street and W. Market Street, which is currently planned to begin in February, 2017.
The following streets will be closed:
- West State Street
- West Center Street
- Ash Street
- the East side of Dart Avenue
West State Street will be permanently closed between Locust and Dart Avenue.
The detour will be provided using West Market Street, South Main Street, and West Bowery Street.
