AKRON, Ohio — An Akron man is in serious condition after being shot in the head during a home invasion on New Year's Day.
According to Akron police, the burglary happened in the 200 block of Arch Street just after 4 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found the 30-year-old victim lying on the floor with a gunshot wound to the head. Officers located another person, who had called police, in a different part of the home.
The caller told police that an unknown man walked into the house and started shooting. The man then grabbed a bag containing a Sony PlayStation 4 and ran off.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
