Two pizza delivery drivers were robbed at the same address in Akron last week. Police say they may have been robbed by the same suspects.
The first robbery happened just before 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of Grant Street.
A delivery driver for Papa John’s reported that when he walked up onto the porch to deliver food, two suspects came from the sides of the house and approached him. They held him at gunpoint while they took the food and cash.
The second robbery happened just before 9 p.m. Friday at the same address. A delivery driver for Hungry Howie’s Pizza said a similar thing happened to him. One suspect put a handgun to the delivery driver’s neck, while they pulled the driver to the ground. The suspects took the food and the victim’s wallet from his pocket.
They also tried to take the car but were unable to do so, police said.
Officers found the wallet and $20 at the scene.
The suspects are described as two black males, 18 to 24 years old, wearing a face mask, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and blue latex/rubber gloves.
