CLEVELAND — Two men accused of stabbing a cook to death at Academy Tavern on Saturday night appeared in court Tuesday for an arraignment.

Omar Calloway, 24, and Jeremy Calloway, 27, have both been charged with aggravated murder for the death of 23-year-old Michael Reese, according to court records. Bond was set at $500,000 for each man.

Officers responded to Academy Tavern on Larchmere Boulevard at about 8:35 p.m. Saturday for a report of a man stabbed, police said. When they arrived, officers found Reese bleeding and administered first aid until EMS arrived and took him to University Hospitals, where he was pronounced dead.

On scene, officers learned Reese and the two men who were later arrested were working in the kitchen of the restaurant when a verbal argument turned physical and spilled outside of the restaurant.
