Cleveland Homicide Unit is investigating after a male was shot and killed on Wednesday afternoon in the city’s east side.
The shooting occurred around 5:20 p.m. in the 4000 block of East 142nd Street. The male was shot in the chest in an apparent drive-by shooting. He was located in the rear yard.
The victim has been identified as a 27-year-old male, who was transported by Cleveland EMS to University Hospital in critical condition.
According to authorities, the male expired from his injuries at the hospital.
Police do not have any information regarding suspects or reasoning for the shooting.
