CLEVELAND — A 27-year-old man died after his vehicle crashed into a parked van on Bridge Avenue early Sunday morning, according to a release from Cleveland police.
Police said at around 2:30 a.m., a 27-year-old man was traveling westbound in a Lexus sedan on Bridge Avenue when police say he was speeding while negotiating a curve at West 38th Street.
The driver lost control, went left of the center line and collided with a 2004 Ford E350 van, which was parked and unoccupied in front of 4407 Bridge Avenue.
The driver had to be extricated from the vehicle by Cleveland firefighters.
He was taken by EMS to MetroHealth Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
