28-year-old man stabbed in Public Square

Cleveland Police are investigating after a 28-year-old man was stabbed in Public Square across from Jake's Deli.

The stabbing happened around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The victim told police he was approached by four young men, three of whom were wearing black hoodies, and was asked if he wanted to buy drugs.

The victim said no, and then the group of men started to search his pockets, then the victim felt a sharp pain above his right hip.

The report said the group of men then continued to assault the victim's head. Police and EMS later found him bleeding in the Renaissance Hotel parking lot.

The man was transported to MetroHealth Hospital in unknown condition.

No arrests have been made.
