Cleveland’s City Hall will remain open during the Republican National Convention. That convention begins on July 18 and ends on July 21 after the GOP names its presidential nominee.
In a release, the city announced it would not interrupt, delay or cancel any services during the RNC. It adds that all offices and departments will remain open.
Residents can expect that their waste collection will also continue as scheduled that week.
People who do choose to go downtown to City Hall will contend with the 50,000 people who are expected to attend the RNC. The release from the mayor’s office says “all residents are encouraged to enjoy the international attention and to showcase their Cleveland pride.”
