CLEVELAND — After crews searched the Cuyahoga River for a male who jumped into the water overnight and never resurfaced Saturday during the curfew enacted in Cleveland, his body was recovered, according to Cleveland police.

Police said the 17-year-old boy jumped in the water around 2 a.m. near Elm Avenue and Riverbed Street. A missing persons report was later filed.

Cleveland Fire crews, assisted by the U.S. Coast Guard, located the teen’s body in the river Sunday evening around 5 p.m.

The identity of the teen is unknown at this time and details are pending from the medical examiner.
