In one of several shootings over the weekend, a 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg while riding his bike, according to Cleveland police.
Cleveland police said officers went to the 11000 block of Hopkins Avenue on Sunday around 4:40 p.m. for a boy shot.
When officers arrived, they found the boy in the middle of the road. He told police he was riding his bike near East 115th Street and Hopkins Avenue when he noticed a white jeep with four unknown men inside. As the jeep drove past, he heard gunshots. He later realized he had been shot.
EMS responded to the area and took the boy to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital for treatment.
Police reported that the incident was gang related.
The incident is still under investigation.
