A car hit a Third District Police Zone car overnight.
A patrol services security officer found the car dumped on East 97th Street and Lamont Avenue while patrolling the area for possible break-ins.
The officer said the Kia involved in the crash was most likely stolen.
It is unknown where the police car was hit initially.
It is unknown if any arrests have been made.
