CLEVELAND — To honor the area veterans and active service members, Cleveland Animal Protective League is waiving adoption fees for them on Veterans Day.

On Monday, Nov. 11, Cleveland APL will waive adoption fees for dogs and cats three years and older for all veterans and active service members.

Veterans and active service members interested in adopting a pet on Veterans Day just need to bring a valid military ID with them to the shelter.

Normally, the adoption rate for dogs is $125 and the adoption rate for cats is $50.

“We hope to inspire our local veterans and active service members to give these animals a loving home so that they, in turn, can experience the joy and companionship these animals will bring them,” said Sharon Harvey, President and CEO of the Cleveland APL.

For information about the adoption process, you can call the Cleveland APL at 216-771-4616 or click here.
