Cleveland firefighters battle blaze at earlier homicide scene

Cleveland firefighters battled flames in a home at that was the location of the murder of a 36-year-old man on Friday night.

Cleveland police said the fire was reported just before 4 a.m. Monday at 11213 Hopkins Ave.

The fire did extensive damage throughout the abandoned home.

On Friday night around 10 p.m., Cleveland police said they were called to the area for shots fired and found a 36-year-old man in the intersection of Lakeview Road and Hopkins Avenue suffering from multiple guns shot wounds.

The man, identified by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office as Oakwood resident Christopher Sullen, was pronounced dead at University Hospitals.

The fire is under investigation by Cleveland Fire Arson investigators.
