Cleveland firefighters evacuated from burning building for fear of roof collapse

CLEVELAND — Firefighters from the Cleveland Fire Department are responding to multiple apartments on fire at a vacant building on the city's East Side.

Firefighters are on scene at a triple 2-alarm fire at a vacant building on East 73rd Street and Simpson.

All fire personnel were evacuated from fighting the blaze inside for concerns of the roof collapsing, according to Cleveland fire.

The assistant fire chief is calling for an exterior attack.
