Cleveland police investigate fatal shooting on city's East Side

CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are investigating a fatal shooting in the city’s Goodrich-Kirtland Park neighborhood that occurred Sunday evening.

Authorities responded to East 43rd Street and Superior Avenue where they found a man in his 50s who had been shot.

The man was transported to MetroHealth hospital where he later died from his injuries, police said.

The medical examiner identified the 59-year-old victim as Marshall Berry, of Cleveland.

Homicide investigators were called to the scene, according to police.

The incident is currently under investigation.
