CLEVELAND — Cleveland TV legend Dick Goddard tested positive for the coronavirus, his daughter Kimberly Goddard said on her Facebook page Monday.

She wrote, “My precious father has COVID-19.” On May 12, she wrote that four people where her dad was staying tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Goddard, who retired from forecasting in November 2016, has recently been in the hospital battling the flu and pneumonia, his daughter said on May 10.

Well wishes have poured into the Goddard family for the local meteorologist, who has been a dedicated animal rights activist and who even lobbied for what is now called Goddard’s Law.
