A woman was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of a west side church while setting up a memorial service for her late husband on Oct. 29.

It was around 6:30 in the morning when police say the woman was approached by a young black man in the parking lot of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church on Cleveland's west side. He grabbed the woman, demanding her money before pulling a small black handgun on her, which police say may have been a replica weapon.

The man began rifling through her pockets, taking her I.D., cash and car keys. Police say he fled down West 70th Street after the incident. Security cameras captured images of the robbery, but police say they're not use for identifying the man.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the crime to contact Detective Janet Murphy by email at jmurphy3@city.cleveland.oh.us, or by telephone at 216-623-5218.
