UPDATE: I-271 southbound is now back open, according to The Ohio Department of Transportation.
The Friday evening commute is off to a rough start as the southbound lanes of I-271 at Rockside Road in Bedford Heights have been shut down due to a disabled vehicle, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

ODOT crews are working to clear the disabled vehicle. Motorists in the area should expect delays.
In the meantime, drivers are asked to take an alternate route.
