One person is dead and four others were shot at overnight on Cleveland's east side.
A man in his 20s was given emergency treatment on scene after he was shot around 1 a.m. in the 600 block of E. 115 St. The victim was taken to University Hospitals by EMS and pronounced dead.
A preliminary investigation shows the victim and another person were walking on E. 115 St. when a vehicle drove by and someone inside fired in their direction. The victim was shot in the back while the other person used a park car to take cover.
A third person was sitting in her car in her driveway when bullets hit her car and shattered her rearview window.
A fourth person was in her home and told police plaster fell from the walls. She was not injured.
A fifth person's car was also hit.
Members of the Homicide Unit and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office responded to the scene.
