CLEVELAND — A former Canton man who moved overseas has been extradited back from Vietnam to face child pornography charges, according to the U.S. District Attorney’s Office.

Larry P. Smith, 67, has been charged with receipt and distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography.

According to the attorney’s office, back in 2013, Smith “knowingly received and distributed” files that showed prepubescent children engaging in sexually explicit conduct. Authorities said Smith possessed multiple computers and hard drives that contained files of children being abused.

At the time of the offense, Smith lived in Canton but moved to Florida shortly thereafter. Smith later moved to Vietnam. He was extradited back to Ohio Wednesday.
