CLEVELAND — A free health clinic is set to open its doors on Cleveland’s East Side Thursday afternoon.

Salaam Clinic Midtown will provide primary and preventative care to the community, free of charge.

Salaam Clinic Midtown first announced the location’s opening earlier this year and has since been operating on a soft scale, seeing patients on a smaller scale over the past five weeks.

Workers at the clinic hope that the free services they provide can help the community by creating healthcare equity.

“Cleveland has been a lifelong home of mine, and it holds a special place in our hearts for all of us. We’re thrilled to be able to use our resources and talent to help the community in what capacity we can, and it’s a goal to grow that capacity as well as the services we offer,” said Dr. Shoaib Shah, CEO of Salaam Clinic. “Our volunteer physicians and staff could be anywhere, but they’re here at home, working for the benefit of the community, volunteering at our clinic, and helping drive healthcare equity.”

Salaam Clinic Midtown is located at 7401 Euclid Avenue in Cleveland.
