The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is seeking information regarding fugitive Jose ‘Tito’ Cortes Jr.
Cortes Jr. is wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Independence Police Department for felonious assault, authorities reported. In the early hours of April 5, Cortes beat a woman and allegedly burned her in numerous places with a hot iron. The victim had to receive medical treatment.
Cortes, 26, was described as a white man, 5 feet and 11 inches, and weighs 190 pounds. He was said to have brown eyes and brown hair, police reported.
Police believed Cortes was hiding on the west side of Cleveland. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
