After three years apart, U.S. Army Specialist John Nyerghes was reunited with Tactical Explosion Detection Dog “Ranger R647” at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport on Sept. 22.
Ranger and Nyerghes served together in Afghanistan in 2011.
Nyerghes said a family member let Ranger outside to use the restroom while he was at work.
That’s when Nyerghes said Ranger somehow went missing from the backyard on Cleveland’s west side.
