A 31-year-old woman was killed in a crash that shut down Interstate 71 for several hours Thursday.
Monique Jefferson of Cleveland was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened at 3:26 p.m. on Interstate 71 northbound near West 150th Street.
Police said Jefferson was driving a 2003 Buick SUV northbound on the highway when she collided with a minivan whose driver was braking due to an earlier crash.
Jefferson's car then spun out of control and overturned. She was ejected.
After the car flipped, it landed back on its four wheels and operated across four lanes of the highway before hitting the median concrete wall.
The northbound lanes were closed through rush hour and didn't reopen until 7:19 p.m.
