CLEVELAND — The Center Street Bridge in Cleveland has been shut down and is undergoing repairs after a lawnmower that was left on the bridge damaged the iconic landmark when it swung open for a passing boat, according to city officials.
The lawnmower incident happened Wednesday afternoon.
City officials said it may be a week before the bridge is operational again.
Motorists should take the following detour while the bridge is out: Columbus Road, to Franklin Avenue, to West 25th Street and then onto Main Avenue.
