CLEVELAND — Crews at Quicken Loans Arena are raising the final steel beam to mark a milestone in the transformation project for the arena.
Once the steel beam is in place, daytime pyrotechnics will conclude the ceremony.
The construction project is modernizing the 25-year-old Quicken Loans Arena. The $140 million project includes expanded public areas with a more modern design encased in glass.
Cleveland will officially host the 2022 NBA All-Star Game at Quicken Loans Arena. Cleveland previously hosted the All-Star game in 1997, when the NBA celebrated its 50th anniversary, and in 1981.
