CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are investigating after a male and a female were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide at a home on Cleveland’s East Side Thursday.

Police responded to the scene in the 1100 block of East 66th Street in Cleveland’s St. Clair—Superior neighborhood at about 12:15 p.m., an official stated.

Police said a woman in her 30s and a 46-year-old man were found dead from gunshot wounds.

On scene, police learned the victims were discovered by a family friend. Preliminary reports reveal both people were shot in what appeared to be a murder/suicide, which occurred within one to three days of discovery, police said.

A gun was confiscated from the home, police said.

This remains under investigation.
